The first rule of Fight Club...

The first rule of fight club is NEVER talk about fight club. While we might be a little underground with our tucked away location, concrete walls, graffiti and boxing ring, we definitely don’t follow the rules of fight club. I’d prefer you ALWAYS talk about Knockout Women’s Boxing Club.

Well I love to hear what Knockout means to you AND so do other women. Trying something new is never easy. Most women are intimated by the prospect of joining a boxing gym. Check out my blog "Things Women Thinking About Trying Boxing", I’m sure many of you can relate.

When you think "boxing" it congers up images of Fight Club, Rocky and Million Dollar Baby. And while some of those depictions are based in reality, we aren’t trying to make you go pro at Knockout so you can squash the idea of any blood or bruises you might fear. Those of you who are members know Knockout is the real deal we just leave out the heavy contact.

It’s hard for women to imagine themselves as boxers. We aren’t taught to be tough and aggressive. Hell most of us weren’t even encouraged to be athletic or aware of our bodies. So before becoming a Knockout you may have thought, “I can’t do that”. Well you have discovered, thanks to a little courage and “what the hell”, that you CAN box and it feels amazing!

The feeling of punching something, using your whole body as a powerful force, and watching yourself do things you never dreamed you could is pretty…well f*ing awesome! Added bonus…being surrounded by other women cheering you on!

We are a melting pot of women at Knockout! All different shapes, sizes, abilities, fitness levels, skills, backgrounds, races, ages, professions and stories come together with one goal…to win their personal fight!

Now I can scream from a mountain top how amazing things happen when women turn into Knockouts because you ladies tell me daily how Knockout has changed your life, but sometimes hearing it from me, the owner, doesn’t hold the same weight as it does coming froDSC03644-Edit-Edit_copym the source…You! You hold the power to empower and inspire other women to do what you’ve done by telling your story. Boxing is an empowering sport and while it's tough, it's worth the fight!

You can give another woman the courage and the “what the hell” to give boxing and Knockout a try. Telling your story is so important and not only to motivate others, but also to show you how far you’ve come. We so often forget to give ourselves credit for our journey; we just keep truckin’ along and don’t realize the distance we’ve traveled to get to where we are now. It’s not just about how much more you have to go, but taking the time to look back on how far you’ve come.

Share your story and inspire other women to become boxers, Knockouts and the best version of themselves they can be!

Where to share your story…

Thank you to all my Knockouts for making my club what it is! You inspire me daily to keep pushing forward to reach my goals!
